WORKSHOP 1 – Friday 13th March 2020
Masterclass 1: Aroids – a how-to guide.
Time: 11am – 12pm
Presenter: Trevor Crawford

SESSION: In the session, local aroid expert and collector Trevor Crawford will introduce particpants to common and a range of rare aroids that are suited to gardens and collectors. You will learn how to identify them, grow them, look after them and propagate them. This is the complete HOW-TO workshop !

WORKSHOP 2 – Friday 13th March 2020Romaine Undery
Masterclass 2: Kokedama making
Time: 1pm – 2pm
Presenter: Romaine Undery 

SESSION: In the session, participants will learn how to make their own kokedama using a range of plants. They look incredible, are easy to transport, highly fashionable and great for decorating the home. This is the CHEAPEST workshop in Brisbane to learn how to make your own kokedama!
Participants will get to take the kokedama home!

WORKSHOP 3 – Friday 13th March 2020
Masterclass 3: Garden design for beginners.
Time: 3pm – 4pm
Presenter: Eva Erhardt

SESSION: In the session, participants will learn the steps a designer uses to create a landscape design and how to applied it to their own gardens. Consideration will be given to design principles, plant selection for the local climate and individual site parameters.  
Participants will do a workshop in garden design for their own garden.

Masterclass 4: Plant collecting & propagating methods for indoor ‘Plantdads’ and ‘Guys with Plants’. 
Time: 6pm – 7pm
Presenter: Paul Plant 

SESSION: In the session, Paul will focus on the latest trends in Australia and overseas that are popular with ‘plantdads’ and ‘guys with plants’. This workshop will discuss where and how to collect, what’s hot with guys that love to grow indoor and outdoor plants, and how to propagate those plants. This is a show-and-tell plus a very practical workshop for guys. Workshop is designed to help beginners and keen collectors. 
Participants will get to take something special home!

Masterclass 6: The GOURMET edible garden – How to grow all the Thai and Indonesian curry ingredients PLUS curry paste making workshop.
Time: 11.30am – 12.30am
Presenter: Dr Kevin Redd 

SESSION: In the session, Kevin will demonstrate a range of Thai and Indonesian herbs, spices and vegies that are used to make curries. The best way to embrace these fragrant edibles is to see, smell and eat them! The workshop will include a curry paste making session so that you will learn how to use these ingredients at home. Be prepared to do a taste test!

WORKSHOP 7 – Saturday 14th March 2020
Masterclass 7: Propagating and growing frangipanis – as they should be!
Time: 1pm – 2pm
Presenter: Annette Irish 

SESSION: In the session, Annette will show the diversity of frangipani (Plumeria sp.) and why they are loved by plant collectors around the word and locally here in South East Queensland.  What makes a garden style a tropical garden with an array of colours, perfumes and forms? The addition of Frangipanis! Collecting cuttings, growing from seed, propagating mix, nutrient requirements, soil types and watering needs.
